Vehicle Detail

1979 Ford Thunderbird Heritage Edition. This car is loaded with all available options except moonroof. It is showing 47,000 miles and I was told these are correct. Looking at the body and interior and undercarriage I would say this is probably true. I purchased the car from the second owner that bought it at an estate sale. The original owner lived on a farm on a gravel road. This is evident from the paint chips behind the wheels. There is no rust on the frame or body. There is rust on the rear bumper, but that is not the original bumper. The original owner was in an accident and the hood, front header, trunk lid, and front and rear bumpers were replaced with used ones off a blue T-Bird. The evidence shows when the headlights are open and the trunk lid has a few spots peeling off inside the lid. The car has not been on the road since 2005, or registered. It does have a clear open title. The paint looks good in the pics, but needs a paint job from sitting out since 2005. It has a small dent on the passenger side under the opera window. There are the usual paint chips expected from a car of this age. The interior is nice. The carpet has a few fade spots from the sun. The headliner has been removed and will need replaced. The old one is in the trunk as a mouse moved into it while it was in the barn, before I purchased the car. It has the 351M engine and auto transmission. I'm not sure if the cruise works as I have never had it out on the open road. The A/C blows and the compressor kicks on, but the air is not cool. I think it needs a charge. The car runs and drives nice. I have driven it around the block a few times, but other than that I have not driven the car. This car is sold AS-IS AND WHERE IS. NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. I recommend a car trailer until you have had a mechanic go over it to make sure it is roadworthy. Especially after sitting since 2005. It is a little cold blooded as are most fords. I would recommend a carb kit as it runs fine, but does not like to idle when in gear. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I will get back to you as soon as possible. On Jun-21-14 at 14:57:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I added three new pics. One is of the engine compartment. The other two are of the dent, it is hard to see it is right below the back of the vinyl top.
