Vehicle Detail

An ACTUAL barn find. Let me answer the quick questions first:YES it is a REAL R/T Charger 440+4bbl. IS it numbers matching? I don't know- the date is correct, the motor is a 1968 440 motor- I have not pulled motor to verify VIN- so, I assume it is numbers matching but cannot verify. I can only see date stamp which is 67 built for a 68 car. I will gather more info.Automatic 727 on the columnRARE special order AA1 Buffed Silver MetallicEVEN MORE RARE- C6B Blue interior! Dana rear endBlack Vinyl TopMagnum 500 14" rimsFront buckets with center "buddy-seat"YES MORE PHOTOS ARE COMMING! (Ran out of daylight) About this car- This car was literally found in a barn in Connecticut. The previous owner had it for about 6 years and the owner before that had it for about 20 yrs and they both just let it sit. THE BODY: It has the typical mopar rust spots. Driver's front floor (large hole) and passenger floor can be patched. The trunk is patchable but may need to be replaced depending on how far the new owner is going with the car (see pics). The fenders, door bottoms and under doors all seem very solid. The rear quarter on passenger side has been cut out and the very bottom as you can see. The drivers side quarter looks like older bodywork was done- seems solid and workable for whoever is going to be repainting this. The hood trunk lid roof etc seem all very solid. THE INTERIOR: The interior needs a total rework but is all there. Dash is overall good and all hooked up (needs dashpad). The C6B Blue interior somehow still POPS even with the poor condition. I am hoping whoever restores this car decides to keep it that way. As mentioned- the car is a Automatic column shift car with front buckets and buddy seat. All glass is in good shape THE ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN: The 440 Motor as stated is AT LEAST period correct if not numbers matching. I have not verified it is numbers matching but could verify the date code and it is a 68 - 440 motor. As of 6/23/2014 the motor DOES turn over but we have not hooked clean gas and a battery up yet. We will be doing this before auction ends to verify it runs. PLEASE stay tuned for updates! The 727 shifts through the gears and seems to have good fluid. More updates to come when we try and fire it up this week. Nothing to hide on this car- if you are looking, you know what it is and what it is worth. I encourage local people to view if possible. Low buy it now- When we get it running and driving- price may go up....Good luck! Feel free to call or text me at: 857-210-7805
