1958 Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle California car, bare metal nuts and bolts ground up restoration with desirable early features. Tasteful modifications include Adam Wik 1968cc motor, Rancho performances gearbox, a 74mm crankshaft, 92mm Cima pistons, F8 Engle racing cam, Scat drag shifter, Nardi steering wheel, and tear drop headlamp blinkers. Additional restoration and modification details. Body was stripped to its rust free shell, primed and painted, new: headlights, bumpers, running boards, custom interior, roller accelerator, billet brake and clutch, gas shocks, custom traction bar, steering box and damper, and Dunlop tires. Dual 40mm Weber carburetors, 1.5 quart oil sump with an external eight passage oil cooler and electric fan, oil filter with stainless steel lines, an electric fuel pump and Bosch distributor. The result is a very clean car with handling characteristics similar to The Porsche 356.
