Vehicle Detail

• Beautiful condition -- completely restored in 2010 by a motorcycle store in MN specializing in BMW restorations. I have an email out to the shop I bought it from to see if they can send me a list of everything they did to it. • Converted to dual plug electronic ignition which allows you to run regular unleaded without any issues or pinging (these older bikes were designed for 95+ octane fuel which is no longer available, so the dual ignition helps all the fuel combust in the cylinder. There are a lot of great articles on this. Ebay won't let me attach link, but Google "Tom Cutter Dual Plug Ignition") • The only thing I did to the bike is add a new front wheel. I bought the bike hoping to learn how to work on it, but it has always run perfectly and I didn't want to take it apart just to take it apart. • When I bought it, I rode it back from MN with my now wife and we were cruising 100+ on stretches of road through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This bike is so smooth at cruising speed. • The ONLY reason I'm selling it is because we have one little one and another one on the way. Realistically, I'm not going to be riding it much the next few years, and it is taking up prime garage space. • It sat the past 2 years in a heated garage. Just replaced the battery and it runs great.• Many folks that like these BMW airheads consider the R90/6 to be the finest of them all. And 1976 was a great year. It will do everything you want it to do - long cruises, short trips around town, two-tracks, cross-country - everything. • Custom touring seat which I love. I love how it looks, it is uber-comfortable for both riders. The seats go for $500+. If you want the stock seat, they are widely available (but the bike doesn't come with it). • The hard cases aren't original to the bike, but they are from the same period. They are really handy even if you aren't taking longer trips. Really easy to take off. • I usually don't use the windshield, but I bought it for the first trip back from MN. It does come with the bike. • I paid $5,700. My reserve is $4,250.• Do you like babes? Well, you'll get a lot of them on this sweet-looking airhead. Seriously. This bike achieved its primary purposed and helped me land my beautiful wife, but one thing led to another and with baby #2 due any day now, long, solo motorcycle rides just aren't in the cards. And my wife nixed the sidecar with two carseats for the babies.• Do you like talking to random guys at gas stations? Well, when you are gassing up this beauty, you'll normally end up chatting with at least 2-3 other guys that wish they were as sweet as you are, cruising on your R90/6.
