This 1983 Jeep CJ-7 was restored with one thing in mind: Fun. Brand New BESTOP waterproof seats were installed, and the entire inside of the body was rhino lined with the idea in mind of after a long day of surfing, skiing, or enjoying the outdoors; the interior could simply be hosed out. A waterproof locking center console made be Vertically Driven Products was installed. The BESTOP Tigertop soft top is nearly brand new and includes full soft doors. The Tigertop allows you to roll up the windows giving the jeep not only a more user friendly style, but a safari look. All brand new seatbelts were just installed that match the spice interior. With the interior of this car all being brand new, this jeep even has the new car smell. The jeep has been lifted 6.5" using a custom combination of spring over and top of the line Sky Jacker lift kit with Hydro 7000 shocks, making room for go anywhere 37" Interco Truxus tires. Whether you are driving through beach sand, mountain snow or all the muddy trails in between, this combination is sure to get you there with ease. The body of this great 1983 CJ-7 is perfectly solid. All of the rust on this jeep was cut our and new steel welded in place. You won't find rust anywhere on this gorgeous jeep. During the restoration, while the body was off the frame was sand blasted and painted satin black. The dark candy apple red metallic paint was done correctly in a dual stage: everything was removed and the door jams, inner fender wells, firewall, etc. were all painted as well. This 1983 Jeep CJ7 not only looks like a brand new Jeep, but is just as reliable. The engine was completely rebuilt from carb to oil pan. It fires right up at the first twist of the key, responds to the pedal instantly, idles nicely, and runs smooth. The 5 speed transmission was also completely rebuilt and the clutch was replace. All of the brakes were redone using braided stainless steel lines, and all new fittings. The fuel take was replaced, as were the filler houses and fuel lines. Mechanically this jeep is perfect and will take her new owners wherever they wish to go. This 1983 Jeep CJ-7 is sure to be a blast and will certainly bring years of enjoyment to come.
