Vehicle Detail
1972 ford f250 sport custom nice pacific north west survivor. 2 wheel drive, 390, automatic, after market power windows, cd player, power steering, power brakes with front disc,They don't use salt on the roads here so its a solid truck. Floors, door sills and cab corners are solid. A bit of surface rust under the paint along the bed seams and rain gutters has started but not bad. I talked to one of the previous owners and he said it had a mild restoration sometime in the 90s. It has held up nice with the typical issues a older paint job on a truck that was used for what it was intended. hauling stuff. The hood is the only major body issue. It is pretty dented up. I believe it came open on someone while driving because it has matching dents on the roof. I do have anouther hood that is straight but will need painted. Its red and will come with the truck as is. Drives stops and steers excellant but it is developing a couple engine issues that will need to be addressed. It smokes on deceleration so pretty sure it needs valve guide seals. It also has a hesitation when first accelerating. I am not sure what that is about because it looks like it has a newer carb and it is the proper motorcraft replacement. It is a 2 barrel and i believe it is the original engine. I still drive it to work everyday with no worries of not starting. It drives very smooth for an old f250. Interior matches the outside. Its decent but needs attention. Carpet is good, seat is torn on the drivers side, dash has had a hole cut in the speaker area for a supposed upgrade, cd player is installed and they cut the dash to fit it. Not a bad installation but not the way i would have done it. Speakers are mounted in the doors. It has had after market power windows installed. Passenger side works great, drivers side needs help at the mid way point. The period correct 16 inch slotted mags look great on this truck and tires have plenty of life left on them. mileage shows 85500 I have no idea if it has rolled over. It has 3 tanks. I have only been using the main tank (behind the seat) I wanted to check the two saddle tanks for sediment before filling them but I have not got around to it. I would keep it and fix a few things because it is a great old truck that gets positive comments every time I drive it but I live in snow country and need a 4x4. no reserve no minimum bid. I have been screwed by non payers plenty of times. This time if the winning bidder doesn't pay I will take the issue to small claims court in my home town. So when you don't show I will win by default. Bid it only if you are serious.
