40 MPG Highway Up for auction is a 2002 Jetta TDI Diesel MKIV with the ALH motor. This car is my wife's daily driver and may have a few hundred additional miles by auctions end. We purchased the car from a dealer in South Carolina via an ebay auction about seven years ago and it has been very reliable. The car runs great with no problems. The engine and transmission are 100%, smooth shifting automatic and plenty of power from the 1.9L engine. There are no visible fluid leaks and the undercarriage is dry. The suspension has new bushings and ball joints and the handling is very good. The brakes are quiet and have plenty of stopping power, the pads and rotors were replaced last summer and still have 75% remaining. The tires are also about a year old with about 75% tread left. All the power options work properly and the climate control blows both cold and hot air. I have been a member of ebay since 1999 bid with confidence. Exterior Description The exterior is in good condition and looks great in blue. The paint looks nice, but has some scratches and chips. There is no visible rust. Under inspection you can find several dings and a few small dents. Windshield and the rest of the glass is free of chips or cracks. The wheels are in good condition with some scratches. The car was involved in a minor accident a few years ago that involved a repair to the drivers side rear quarter panel and rear door. The pinstripping was never repainted on the rear drivers side door. There is also a scuff on the front bumper cover from scraping a curb which I tried to show in the photos. Interior Description The non-smoking interior is just as good as the rest of the car and is fully loaded with luxury options. The leather seats are in good condition with no stains. Headliner and rear window carpet have a few stains. The car is loaded with great options you would expect from a luxury car including, power mirrors, stereo with CD and cassette player, power windows, power locks, heated front seats, power glass sunroof, TDI Diesel engine and automatic transmission. The carpet is in good shape with no major stains. The armrest while intact, seems a bit loose. Did I mention the heated seats?
