The motor is smooth and does not knock, tick, or smoke. When cold the van drives perfectly, as soon as it warms up the transmission starts to slip. I have been told our mechanic that this may be an issue related to the transmission filter being clogged or it may need a complete rebuild/replacement. The mechanic did say it is very unusual for it to shift through all gears when cold and that it is not consistent with a transmission failure. Either way we are selling it as is, assume the worst case that it needs a transmission and hope for the best that the mechanic is right. Although for the first 5-10 minutes the van drives fine please do not be mistaken it must be towed home to its new owner. I have spoken with a local transporter that can haul it for you at a fair price. The miles are highway and it shows. This van is very clean for the year and miles. The A/C blows ice cold and heat blows hot. The interior is in excellent condition and the seats are firm and comfortable.
