Vehicle Detail

I bought this Cobra 2-yrs ago in Florida. This was a Georgia car most of it's life. I have since moved to California where the car is currently located (transported, not driven). I can no longer keep (pamper) this car, so hopefully she will go to a good home. When I purchased this vehicle, the odometer read approx. 111k. The current reading is just over 116k. At some point, someone replaced the gauge cluster as the vin reports show 250-277k! To the best of my knowledge, the 4.6 DOHC motor is original and not rebuilt or replaced! Clearly, the first owner put allot of highway miles on this car, but also maintained it well based on it's over all condition and strong running motor. I wanted to make clear this discrepancy, and the odd-ball Georgia/Florida odometer exempt laws which are reflected in the Auto check/Car Fax reports. This vehicle starts, runs, stops and handles excellent. No accidents, no rust, clear title. Motor; Runs strong, Idles perfect, no smoke on start-up or acceleration. No unusual valve-train rattles/noises. Does not overheat, has never been raced or otherwise abused under my ownership. There is a small oil-leak at front, driver side valve cover (no leaks on driveway). Just performed oil/filter change and plugs. Recent Work (approx. 2.5k); New radiator/180 stat/upper/lower hoses and coolant flush. New serp. belt/tensioner and pulley. Steeda intake, Motorcraft wires, lightweight Oydessy Battery with new cables. K&N/JLT valve cover breathers and separator. (Have factory intake with new K&N filter, factory pcv and new valve cover gasket set) Aprox. 4k on Ford Dealer installed fuel pump/sender and filter. (have receipt). Exhaust: UPR catted X-PIPE with MAC 2.5 catback. Smooth tone, not excessively loud, throws a 'cel' from time to time due to the 2x hi-flow cats. I installed new O2 sensors with mid-pipe Suspension: Rebuilt with mild upgrades. Vogtland springs, with poly-insulators Koni str.t struts/shocks, new quad-shocks, new front hubs and outer tie-rods. Poly-'rack bushings, 04 Cobra front control arms, Steeda, 35mm front anti-roll bar with poly bushings, Ford 25mm rear-bar, J&M rear, lower control arms and camber plates. Drivetrain: Tranny is a rebuilt t-45 (previous owner) with new clutch. Clutch pilot bearing is starting to 'chirp' when cold. (new timken bearings included with sale). Transmission shifts smooth, with the typical notchy reverse common with t-45. Tranny has Redline D4 fluid. I installed new Summit (Steeda) short shifter. Differentilal is stock 8.8 and 3.27 R&P. Previous owner installed new carrier and axle bearings. (Has noticeable howl at light cruise/coast after installing lower control arms). Fluid has been changed 2x with no noticeable R&P wear. Fresh Redline 75-140 fluid and Steeda/Ford Racing aluminum cover installed. Wheels/Tires: Wheels are 18x9 00R Cobra Replica's, nice shape with light curb rash on 2x wheels. Tires are 265-40 BFG G Force 2 with near full tread. Brakes: Factory rebuilt Cobra with Hawk pads and drilled/slotted rotors and J&M stainless front hoses. Recent flush with Motorcraft fluid. Body/Interior: This was originally a Laser Red Cobra. The 2nd owner had it painted 'Claret Red Metallic', so don't blame me! The body panels and overall fit and finish are in my opinion an 8 out of 10. No dents or, dings with a few light scratches on the hood, that you have to look close to see. The paint is nice and glossy, (please note that the door/hood and trunk seams were not painted) not show quality by any means, but respectable. I do have some extra paint from the previous owner. I installed new lights and side markers along with a low profile antenna. Interior has the black leather with normal wear and tear for the year. Driver seat has a small tear near the bolster, all the glass and trim is in good shape, the electrical, gauges, hvac, lights, etc. work. I give the interior an 8 out of 10 as well. There is no spare tire donut/jack. The CD player does not work. I only have 1x PATS key, but will include a few extra's that need to be cut and programmed. As mentioned, I have the air-filter assembly, pcv, valve-cover gaskets as well as spare pilot and throw-out bearings. (It might just need a clutch quadrant/firewall adjuster). Finally, please do not 'buy' this vehicle if you do not have the $$! Vehicle is sold as is with no warranty stated or implied. Any transportation arrangement's and costs are the responsibility of buyer. Please, I am not interested in trades. Please send a message with any questions you might have, or before purchasing! Thank you for looking.
