This is a Florida car owned by the same family since 1974 until I bought it 6 years ago. It was originally a small block car and after I bought it I changed it over to a big block car with a "period correct" 66 big block engine 396/427 which was all redone. This change over was done correctly with everything changed to compliment the big block engine including a new big block rad, proper fan shrowd and everything needed to make it right, and the car runs all day at 170 degrees, even has new stainless headers and new side exhaust. Also has a new clutch , pressure plate and throw out bearing...has the original 4 speed transmission that came with the car when new, and it shifts very nice. This car starts right up and runs fine, all the guages work, even have replaced the clock, the radio is an AM/FM with a power aerial. This car has had a body on restoration as the frame, being from Florida, is perfect with no rust in the usual mid year places.The body was taken down to the fiberglass and repainted the original color, has a new interior, and every piece of chrome has been replaced as well as the bumpers rechromed. The hide away headlights were redone and work fine, new switch to run them, and as well a new ignition switch. Every bushing in the rear was replaced and the u joints too.....and the car received a 4 wheel alignment to complete the job, tires are like new. This car looks and drives nice, also has the hard top with it, and has NO serious issues. The gas guage works but will need a new sending unit which I have but have not replaced yet.
