Vehicle Detail

This is my personal car I have owned for 12 years. It started out as a black 301 powered formula. I converted to its present state as a black special edition car. NEVER any rust on her she was the perfect car to do. However due to health issues it is time to let her go. The car I have known since it was brand new. Never wrecked or abused. After I purchased her I drove her for a while. I tore her down and did a Trans Am conversion to her correctly. A 1978 y88 car was the doner car for the front sheet metal. The flares were from ebay. She was painted and decaled and looks great. Later on I swapped a 73 455 in her. The 455 has ram air manifolds, aluminum intake flowmaster water pump and as of last weekend a new quadrajet. The front end was completely rebuilt with moog and trw parts last summer. Along with new subframe bushings brakes front and rear with new lines brake booster, master cylinder. Originally a 308 rear gear I went with a the 78 posi rear end out of the y88 car. It has new bearings dope etc. It is a 2.41 posi. Gas prices helped me with that. The car is clean drives well and looks very good. I installed a nos gauge cluster when I put in the 455. It now shows 1300 miles since then. The snowflakes I had refinished and look great. The tires are near new. A 4 row aluminum radiator new clutch fan battery starter all are less than 1 year old. . She is not a trailer queen, and a bit dirty underneath,.But she is solid and correct. The paint and decals are nice, the power antenna works correctly She starts and drives very good. the t tops seal very good but will leak a bit in the carwash. And there is plenty of horses under the hood. She has 2 hood scoops. 1 is factory sealed, the other has the Ames kit in it that opens up when you get on it. The interior has new carpet, door panels headliner trim items. The dash is not cracked nor the console. The gold dash plate and shifter cover were reconditioned by Randy combs and look great. The gold emblems in the new steering wheel and shifter look stunning. I also added power trunk release as well. All of her suspenion was upgraded to ws6 specs. Even a brand new steering box. There is a pioneer cd player and speakers added to it. That is the only variation I did. Everything else is as it came from the factory. Under the hood things are where they should be and everywhere else on the car. I did not want to go wild and thirty years later try to remeber what I did. Factory appearance and being able to detect trouble in my old age was important. Now there are negative things. The a/c i never finished to install. The front seal on the engine will drop a few drops of oil every once in a while. The shifter seal on the transmission leaks a bit. I have the seal for both issues but I am not able to do the work any longer. The car is available to be seen and is for sale locally. Please ask any questions you may have. Thank you and good luck!
