Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking at my 2011 Zero DS electric motorcycle. This bike is nothing short of amazing. I purchased new in early 2013. It was a demo bike from a dealer in California but only had 40 demo miles on it when I bought it and shipped it to Florida. Its been garaged its entire life and always plugged in as Zero recommends. A note on riding it for the last 15 months: It is amazing and a blast to ride. Ive ridden Japanese cruisers, dirtbikes, sport bikes and Harleys and this bike is an absolute blast compared to all those albeit in a different way. It weighs under 300lbs and has such a low center of gravity, it feels like youre riding a mountain bike through corners. With no heat between your legs, noise, and clutch/gears it is a different more pure riding experience in my mind. I compare it to riding a high end road bicycle downhill at 50 mph on a mountain road all the time. You can really focus on carving, you can hear and smell everything around you. You wont win any races, not that Ive tried, against anything bigger then a 250cc gas bike but the power is seemless and gets you to 70 in about 7-8 seconds. The range is really its only limitation but not a huge problem because you carry a regular plug on the bike and you can plug in anywhere... I ride it very hard and can go about 25 miles on a charge averaging 55 mph with a couple dozen stoplights along the way. At 30 mph constant speed you could go 40 miles but I dont know where that is possible anywhere in this country. And it seems to recharge in 1-2 hours although full charge from empty supposedly takes 4-6 hours. People constantly ask about the bike and are amazed by it every time. A note on condition: you may find a 2011 Zero with less miles but I doubt it will be as well maintained and constantly pampered as mine has been. 1000 miles is only about 85 miles a month which is just enough to keep it in tip-top shape. Ive done nothing to the bike and it needs nothing. I never rode it off-road or in inclement weather and it has lived in my garage and always plugged in as Zero recommends. The bike even still has warranty on parts until Feb 2015. Buyer must pay $1000 within 48 hours and full payment in 7 days. I may be able to help deliver to Florida, Georgia, or Alabama with a fee and will help shiping company if one is needed. Please look at all pictures to appreciate this bike and watch my video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6qFFH_LFQg to see it in action on some back roads near my house.
