For sale, by private owner: 1991 BMW 850i with 6-Speed manual transmission, factory heated seats, rebuilt LCD's in the information center, new clutch, new tires, and in very good condition. I'm selling my "3rd car", an Alpine White 1991 BMW 850i because of a pending move out of state. In addition to this BMW I'm selling my other "3rd car" as well as my daily driver, a 1987 Mercedes 190E Cosworth and 2006 Volvo V70R 6-Speed. I welcome calls and texts to (626) 219-0269. We live in Marietta, GA, a suburb just north of Atlanta. The 850i currently has 114,000 miles on it and is in very good running and driving condition. The title is REBUILT, clear, and in my name. The transmission is not original to the car; it was originally an automatic transmission car that has had a 6-speed installed instead. I purchased it off of eBay from a hobbyist and do not have a complete set of repair receipts or records. I do not know for sure how many owners it has had. I have two master keys with built-in remotes, all owner's manuals, and all accessories including a full set of trunk tools. The factory sounds system is present and sounds excellent. The tires are brand new. There are some areas of expected wear, outlined in the condition notes, below. There are no warning lights or alerts and it has a passing emissions certificate that I'll include to the new owner. I do not have to top off fluids and it does not leak fluid on the ground. The AC blows cold, the heat blows hot, and the HVAC system vent positions and blower are responsive. There is a gap in the "virtual b-pillar seal" between the front and rear windows on the driver's side when the windows are rolled up There are two different BMW factory keyless entry systems present -- the original system which featured a separate fob and is no longer supported by BMW, and the newer version found in 1996+ models that features the remote buttons integrated onto the master key. The master keys are the later version, but the original keyless version is powered in the car. The remote buttons on the master keys do not work, though the keys, themselves, work in all doors, trunk, and ignition. The powered trunk release does not work (you must use the key) The car has been repainted and is decent; there is some dripping noticable on the rear right quarterpanel (pictured) There is a missing piece of trim in the pictures, just to the driver's side of the front license plate. I have the trim piece (new) and it is included. The front roundel is getting old and faded The headliner is not original, and is relatively new and in very good condition (generic beige cloth) Because the car originally began its life as an automatic transmission car the instrument cluster always reads "E P" in the gear shift area when it is running. E = Economy mode, P = Park. The CD changer face, next to the eject button, has loose trim (pictured) Terms Communication is key. I'll refund your deposit on the spot, minus the amount of eBay fees. I am NOT a dealer. There are NO FEES. The price you bid is the price you pay. I have the title in my name and in my hands, ready to hand to you when you pay. The PayPal deposit is $200 and must be paid within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The deposit amount is credited towards the total purchase price. If you fail to send a $200 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours I'll relist the vehicle and you'll lose your chance to win it. I won't accept PayPal payment other than the $200 deposit. The balance of the purchase price (minus the $200 deposit) is due within 14 days UNLESS you we work out an alternative timeline BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS. I'm flexible; the more communication the better. I give two weeks because if you're traveling to come pick up the vehicle that gives you a chance to get a cheap flight and schedule your trip time. If you pay a deposit but do not pay the balance within 14 days I'll relist the vehicle and you'll lose your chance to win it. I'm flexible; the more communication the better. Please, no dealers or curbstoners. I will not fill out a title with a purchase price of less than you paid. I will be putting the buyer's name and purchase date on the title. It is OK if you're using a bank loan to purchase the vehicle; however, have funding and preapproval in place BEFORE bidding or making an offer. Not being able to get a loan AFTER the auction ends is not a good excuse. If you're showing up in person we will be doing the sale transaction at my bank so that cash, check, or loan funds can be verified. You will need to be around during bank business hours so please plan your trip accordingly. I'm happy to help with meeting the shipper(s) if you plan to have it shipped. However, you are responsible for setting up and paying for shipping. The balance must be paid in full before I release the vehicle to a shipper. I will not negotiate after the auction. I'm not interested in trades. This is a purchase-only auction. I do not provide financing. I'll provide a standardized, non-notarized bill of sale from the state of Georgia. If your state requires additional documentation, such as a notarized bill of sale, please let me know and I'll provide it to you at no cost to you. The vehicle will come with a recent (within the last two weeks) passing emissions certificate. If you're local and within the Georgia clean air zones you can use this for registration. I welcome local inspections before the auction ends. I live within convenient driving distance of dealers and independent mechanics. I can recommend one or you can find your own. When searching use the cross streets of Lower Roswell Rd and Johnson Ferry Rd in Marietta, GA 30068. You are responsible for any inspection costs to the local mechanic; however, there are no fees from me to drop the car off to have it checked out. Do not ASSUME any details about the vehicle. If something is not listed or you have a question, don't be shy. I welcome calls and texts! All vehicles are subject to local sale. Until a deposit is received from the winning bidder it is subject to local sale, thus voiding the auction. If a vehicle sells locally and eBay allows me to end the auction early, I'll do it. Note that within the final 24 hours eBay does not allow an auction to end early; however, until a deposit is received it is still subject to local sale and the auction is void if it sells locally before a deposit is received. Once a deposit is received it will no longer be for sale locally. If picking up the vehicle in person I'm happy to pick you up from the rental vehicle drop-off location, Atlanta airport, AmTrak station, or bus station. There is no fee from me to do this. I'll also make sure the vehicle has a full tank of gas, tires are properly inflated, and it's ready for a driving trip back. In other words, I'll treat you like a person and how I'd expect to be treated if I were buying a vehicle on eBay. I'm not a dealer. I can't provide a temporary license tag. My state of GA tag will stay with me in GA and is not included with the vehicle. Please do your research to stay legal when driving back home, especially if through or across state lines as each state may have different rules. I will provide you with the title and a bill of sale. Bids may be cancelled by me at any time for any reason. This is to discourage zero-feedback bidders or similar fraudulent bidders from inflating bids.
