For sale is a very nice example of a Suzuki RM 465. I have owned quite a few of these over the last 10 years and this is by far one of the nicest I have seen. I do not know for certain if this is an 81 or 82 model (Ebay required a model year so I put 1982 based on the decals - I did include the Vin so maybe you can tell by that). It was purchased as a collector years ago and has only been started 3-4 times a year. I will go into as much detail as possible below. This bike is not a museum piece but could easily be turned into one with a little effort. If you have any questions about the bike I would be happy to answer them. * The original owners manual and a Bill of Sale will be included in the sale of this bike. Bike details: Motor - motor starts, shifts and runs as it should. If you are purchasing this bike as a collector or trail bike it is fin as is. However, if you plan on racing I would freshen up the top end. I chose to leave the bike as is because its on STD bore and I wanted to leave it that way. Paint on the motor is pretty darn nice. Exhaust - New DG pipe and New DG silencer. great performance combination and it looks awesome a well. Controls - most cables are New, New bars, New perches, New levers and New Oneal grips! Brakes - brakes are in good shape on the front, rear brakes are New. Frame - frame was professionally repainted by the previous owner and looks excellent. Plastic - all plastic is New except for tank. The tank is one of the nicest I have seen. All new Decals. Tires - Front tire is 90% new and Rear is almost brand new. Wheels - the rims are beautiful on this bike. Spoke are not bad and I took the time to test a few and it looks like they will polish up nice with Luster Lace. Seat - seat base is in excellent shape - New safety seat foam and safety seat cover. Suspension - I have done nothing to the suspension. Forks don't leak and seam pretty good, Rear shock shaft looks good and I checked with a guage its about 124 psi. I think it should be 150 psi so it may need a bit of a charge. Swingarm has no damage that I can see which is very unusual for these bikes. Rear spocket and chain are New SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I dont mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer.
