Vehicle Detail
For sale is my well looked after 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4. I have owned this car for almost two years, and it has been completely trouble-free in that time. It has only 107,000 miles, and for those that know anything about the legendary Jeep 4.0 straight 6 engine, this is only just broken in. These things are known to go to 250,000 miles and beyond without major surgery. The color is code PS5 - Silverstone metallic, and it is quite an unusual color for a Jeep, I haven't seen many others like it. It has no major dings dents or scrapes, just the odd tiny nick here and there that you would expect for a 14 year-old vehicle. I have maintained it regularly, and it only just in the last two weeks had an oil change and oil filter. This Jeep does not overheat, and the water temp runs dead in the middle of the gauge. Over the last two years I have had a few things done: Upgraded H5 headlights - waaay better than standardNew brake calipers/pads on the front, and new drums/shoes on the backTow hitch and tow electrics (that's the wiring connector you can see in the trunk on one of the pictures)New steering damper and tie rod ends, and new pitman arm The dodgy bits - the tires do not have a ton of life left - they are at maybe 25% left, but perfectly serviceable for now. The drivers seat is power adjustable (yay!), which is unusual again for a Jeep, but the side of the seat has a split in it - purely cosmetic. The air conditioning is not amazing, and never has been. I have topped it up from a can from time to time and it stays icy cold for a while, so there might be a small leak somewhere. Lastly the drivers side foglight glass is broken. I have both keys and fobs for the car. I listed this Jeep a couple of days ago, and someone asked me about an accident that showed on the Carfax report in 2010. This was before I got the car, and I wasn't aware of any previous accidents, so it is hard for me to give any details. I took the listing down and have scoured the car today for signs of repairs and replaced panels, and everything looks original except the rear hatch. I am guessing the rear hatch has been re-sprayed (and possible replaced with a new one, since it is perfectly straight). The way I think this is the case, is that the Jeep and '4.0 LITRE' badges are placed lower than where they should be. Also the rear bumper is in great condition without too many signs of being abused through loading things into the back so I am guessing it might have been new at that time also. I fitted the tow hitch to the Jeep when I got it, and everything is as it should be underneath the car at the back, nothing bent or repaired. I also lifted the trunk carpet today and found no evidence of any floor pan or body damage, with either new parts or repairs. So all this in full disclosure - I think the accident in 2010 was damage to the rear hatch and bumper, and they were both replaced. Please let me know in case of other questions, and thanks for looking!
