Well loved Subaru in working condition. We were planning to drive the car into the ground, but once the muffler connection rusted out, we decided it was time to get a new car. In it's current state, it's a good car for local trips. With some minor repairs (and a new muffler), it can be an excellent car for long-distance trips. The various repair shops tell us that the engine's in good condition and overall the cars in good shape. Several major components are pretty new, such as the catalytic converters, oxygen sensor, tires, alternator, battery, and timing belt. We're highly dependent on repair shops and the dealership for repairs and maintenance, but someone with more experience can probably get the maintenance/repair costs to average out at around $100/month. This car is excellent for snow/heavy rain driving conditions and has lots of storage space in the back.
