1976 BMW R-Series

No reserve auction on this 1976 BMW R90/6. This BMW has documentation since it's second owner bought it in 1983. There are no records from when the bike was new until 1983 but the records from that point on are extensive. It appears that this motorcycle was set up as a touring machine since it was new. The Luftmeister fairing, 6.5 gallon fuel tank, Bates saddlebags, large oil pan, and oil cooler made it quite a remarkable cross country motorcycle. It has the original keys, owners manual, and many new upgrades and parts that are documented. The tires are fresh, as well as a recent new battery. It starts easily, the clutch and transmission work smoothly and it rides out fine. No oil leaks.It does need carbureutor work. Although it starts easily, it requires choking until it's completely warmed up. There is a hesitation or lag when accelerating. Once it gets going it does go down the road pretty good. The mileage currently reads 44,541 but the records indicate that it has approx. 9000 more miles on it than it shows. According to the records the odometer problem occurred in May of 2002. For this reason the Indiana title states "odometer not actual" I have more pics that I can email if anyone wants to see more. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping arrangements.
