Up for auction is a 1983 jaguar XJS HE V12 in great shape for its age.The jaguar has exactly 85914 miles on it. The car I will tell you everything I know about the car. I purchased the car from an estate as the car was not running due to the owner not using the car for years. The car had no battery so we went and bought a battery and checked fluids after that the car started right up and ran perfectly so we drove it home. The car shifted perfect and ran perfect. There was a little clunk from the front passenger side like a strut or sway bar not exactly sure, and the brakes were a little soft. For some reason when I went to start and drive it the other day it did not want to shift out of park, so I did some research on that issue and decided to unhook battery for 2 minutes and then it shifted out of park and I could drive it and it worked perfect so Im not sure the issue with that either. Overall the body is in good to great condition with minor surface rust but not bad, no body damage. The radio works after changing the fuse and the drivers side power window and wipers do not work maybe just some more fuses but not sure. Gauges all work and tires are good but do have some cracking or weathering due to age. The V12 motor is clean and runs great. This car is perfect for the true jaguar fan and with very little work will be out on the road. I have a clean title in hand as well. The car is located about 20 mile northwest of Madison Wi and that is where it will need to be picked up. After auction is over I will need a 500.00 of the purchase price to be paid within 24hours via paypal. Also included with the jaguar is a set of new jaguar brake rotors( a little rusty from sitting so long) but they appear to have never been used, a brand new set of jaguar xjs hood struts, and the spare tire original scissor jack and original wrenches /tools for changing tires, and the original spare tire and rim.
