This vehicle is owned and operated by the City of Mt. Pleasant’s (MI) Police Department. 2005 Ford Crown Victoria, 4-door, 104,392 miles, Black and white exterior/ black interior. In fair condition. No rust. Some exterior scratches. Front cloth bucket seats, vinyl bench rear seat. Driver’s seat has small tear near the left seat belt area (see photo). Vehicle is equipped with the following options: Automatic transmission; power steering, brakes, locks, and windows; air conditioning, rear defrost, and AM/FM radio. All police radios and identification (light bar, decals, etc.) have been removed. Passenger doors do not seem to open (may just be locked). Partial maintenance records are available for review. These records indicate last oil change was October 2012. This vehicle is being sold in AS IS condition. Vehicle does not start currently (will need recharging or a new battery) and has been parked in the Public Works yard since mid-December 2013. Inspection of the vehicle is encouraged. Please contact the Public Works office at (989) 779-5401 for an appointment to inspect this item. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm EST. If you are the winning bidder you must bring means to start (battery charger) and/or transport the vehicle, ex. trailer or towing-equipped truck. Pleasant accepts PayPal, cash, and cashier’s checks. Sorry, no personal, out-of-state, or foreign checks can be accepted. At the time of payment, the successful bidder will be required to sign a disclaimer of liability and an acknowledgment of acceptance of the item. Sales Tax: The City of Mt. Pleasant will not add sales tax to the purchase price. Payment of sales tax is the responsibility of the Purchaser. Title Transfer: It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to transfer the title at the nearest Secretary of State office after purchase. The title can be obtained at the time of pick-up. Pick Up: Once payment has been received, the Purchaser or his/her authorized representative may pick up the item at the Division of Public Works, 1303 North Franklin Street, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sorry, no weekend pick-ups. The City may request identification from the person picking up the item. Removal of item(s) is at the risk and expense of the Purchaser. If not using PayPal, the Purchaser may pay for and pick up the item on the same day. If an item is not picked up within seven (7) business days after the auction end date and time, the City of Mt. Pleasant reserves the right to retain the item, to re-list it for auction, and any other action as allowed by eBay rules.
