Vehicle Detail
I have a nice old truck we are selling, its a '72 Chevy half ton long bed 2 wheel drive with the original 350 engine and TH350 trans. It runs good and drives nice we drove the truck home right around 100 miles without any problems. The truck has an Edelbrock carb sitting on the stock four barrel intake and an HEI distributor. I replaced the intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets and, I also put in new spark plugs, wires, a water pump, belts, hoses and flushed the cooling system. I painted the parts I had off and the front of the engine, so it looks good from up top, however I did NOT remove the engine so only whats visible from the top is painted, I did clean up as much as I could under the truck. The heater works good and the power steering works like it should. The truck has manual brakes, with a new master cylinder, it does not have air conditioning either but roll the windows down and you'd never need it any way! The steering wheel is in rough shape, the seat is pretty rough but it still sits well and has a heavy old seat cover on it. The dash has no extra holes and is not cut up in any way, the floor is pretty solid, the cab mounts have rust as do the rockers and cab, corners, but the bedsides, fenders, hood, and doors are in good shape as far as rust goes. The bed front panel and floor in the bed is in great shape as well as the wheel tubs, the tailgate was down and backed into something at one point, the passenger door and bedside was damaged and the majority of the dent was popped out of the bed, the door was just scraped and the mirror pulled off, look at the pics and you can see what you are bidding on. This is just a neat old truck with ALOT of history and it runs very well for a truck of it's age, I would not be afraid to drive it any where, the gauges all work the engine carries about mid gauge on oil pressure, temp runs normal, speedo is right on and the gas gauge even works! Please ask any and all questions before the auction ends and if you bid you better be able to buy, as we are really wanting to sell this truck to fund other projects! Thanks and have a great day. On May-18-14 at 05:11:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention, the truck has a newer four core radiator in it as well. Also the factory radio is in the dash but you don't get any sound out of it, not sure if the radio, the speaker or the fuse is bad, but it looks nice sitting there! I also replaced the bearing in the bottom of the steering column and put a U-joint in the back of the drive shaft as it had one that was bad. The truck is coil sprung with a leaf overload, the shocks are good and the tires are half tread, maybe better 255/70R15 Daytons on 15 inch chrome Pacer wheels, the wheels look ok, but they do have some rust on them, I had thought about painting them but figured I'd leave them alone and let the new owner do what they wish. As I said earlier, please ask if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
