I have three vintage cars and it hurts me to sell this one. A true california blue liscense plate surviver, no rust, just the surface type in places, and no front plate as one was never issued in those days. It is very good on gas about est. 28 to 32 city. This car was purchased as a fun ride about town and for weekends, it became my daily driver by default when my p1800 was crashed into. I have driven it enough to know that it has no electrical problems and it is a reliable good running triumph VERY RARE. This car is an absolute blast to drive, you can take corners at high speeds and it handles them well. It is a true sports car in all aspects except it is not fast, well at least i don't think it is, i had a 280z that was fast, and the speedometer has never worked, i don't need one, now it is rare to get over 45 mph anywhere in LA including freeways. i will say with this car i always drive mulholland and sunset just for the corners and s curves, it is a joy to drive and with LA traffic that is saying something. It is a toy, very small and fun, quite practical for modern LA, parks in small spaces and as i stated before no need for speed, but to be outside in the open air is wonderful, i really will miss it, i just need money to rebuild my volvo. Unlike my volvo, all parts are still very available and they are relatively inexpensive at victoria british ltd. I think i have stated most flaws in the condition section above, the only things left to mention are that the stereo isn't working now, there is power getting to it but either the speaker wire is loose, or it just gave up. The speedometer has never worked i never cared, the mileage is by no means accurate. The rear trunk latch has been put on upside down i think when the car was repainted, also by the previous owner, it latches but is vertical not horizontal when latched, i never cared, and there is some paint loss where the trunk rubs at the seam (pictured). i garage park it, always have. The passenger door handle and window crank have always been off, i do have them, i think it was from installing the rear view mirror by the previous owner, i have a matching drivers side replacement i will include when i find it. Will need shocks. tune up, brake pads, grease to the chassis it is squeeking a bit ,might also be rubber seals, i will include some of them as well as a dash pad cover i never got installed. There is a minor clutch leak, i thought it was the slave cylinder, i took off the tranny tunnel cover, but wasn't leaking there, the cover was minorly damaged, a chipped corner, at that time, could use a new one and i didn't put back the carpet either as it was not that good, it is however included,i also have the rubber boot and bolts i just didn't put back because i was going to replace the tunnel cover The glove box is missing, but available at victoria british.. It has perelli's all around and they have great tread remaining. The buyer is responsible for finding, coordinating, purchasing shipping, if necessary, i will assist where i can. The car has a clear clean california title in my name and tags are good until jan 2015, no smog needed. It has been a working actor in print and film, and will get a thumbs up, honks, smies,,etc, wherever you drive it, as well as conversations at stop lights or wherever, if you are the shy type this car is not for you.
