Vehicle Detail
On May-09-14 at 14:55:50 PDT, seller added the following information: I am getting several questions regarding rust and leaks. I have added additional photos that might help with this. This car is almost 40 and does show signs of age and enjoyment. The main body work that needs to be done, I am not am expert, is the drivers side fender over the tire. The rack on the back shows rust and the underside including muffler parts shows rust. This car is low and I took the best pictures I coould get. I keep this car covered because I have spent so much on the new carpet, seats, dash and parts that were missing when I got it, that I wouldn't chance it getting damaged by water. I did notice a leak once close to the wiper compartment so I make sure it is covered well. I had planned on getting all the details with the new weather stripping(which is on) doubled checked by body shop when the painting was to be done. When I bought this car the steering was completely screwed and dangerous so I had everything under the hood removed and fixed or replaced. I bought a new front nose for her and it is in the pictures. The motor was taken apart to realize it was new and the transmission, as I was told had been rebuilt. I know the owner before me and he drove the car alot and I drive it at least once a month to keep it from sitting up. It cranks and doesn't quit until I cut it off. The gauges are the expensive red digital. The headlights work and I replaced the part that makes them close but they stay up. The radio sucks! I dont know anything about what is good for a stereo so I ordered this system with the skull speakers and remote and was disappointed. With all the new wiring I had run from the back lights to the dash it would be an easy fix . The floor on the drivers side had a hole in the fiberglass so I had it fixed. The wiring had burn marks in the back compartment so it is all new. I have receipts and pictures that show each step of the car being torn down by my mechanic and put together again. The interior was black and really bad and the wiring was hanging out of the dash. I am confident that if someone takes this car, the main issue is the cosmetics. The tires are dry rotted from sitting before the new motor was put in. I had chosen blue as the color so that is what is on the title instead of the red. With so many parts missing when I bought this car, I decided to start fresh with silver inside because it made all the details in the car stand out. I am a female but have a love for classic antique cars and believe they are true treasures. Good luck to all interested and happy bidding!
