Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my Dads project car for the last year. He is a very skilled mechanic, and loves to rebuild and refinish cars. I am selling this for him, and will openly describe this car as best as I can. I myself have a Z Car business, and I am fully qualified to answer any questions you may have about this car, and rebuild. This car is ready to go, with exception of minor flaw's I have outlined below. This is a great "Turn-Key" for someone who want to drive the summer away! Start up Video: http://youtu.be/02_QiAAPkAI General/ Body: This Z car has been completely gone through from top to bottom, and thats no joke! *( See all Photos Before / After ) This car was stripped to metal, and completely repainted. There is no major rust found in normal problem areas…. Paint job is not show quality, but a great repaint for the daily driver. Don't get me wrong, its very nice, but I just don't want someone whining and crying later than its not as nice as they hoped. On a scale of 1-10 ( 10 being super show quality ) I would rate this at a 7 seven. As for rubber, every rubber part on this car is new, right down to Tires, engine seals, and every seal around windows…. Every part of this car was replaced. The sunroof was very carefully done, to make sure its sealed the correct way, and does not leak. Drive Train: The entire engine was rebuilt, all parts mechanically inspected to make sure they were in good rebuildable condition. Engine was hot tanked, all bearings replaced, rings, etc… Head was jet washed, valve job completed, new valve seals, etc… Engine runs perfectly, and is not even broke in yet. Less than 300 miles on the car since rebuild. Car has all new injectors, injector clips, plugs and plug wires. Car pulls very hard under acceleration, and is only going to get better once the rings have seated in around 3000-4000 miles. Car does to smoke, or have any running issues *( See Start-UP Video ) This is a 5 spd Transmission, and was inspected, and found to be in great condition. New clutch Master and slave cylinder, with Braided steel line used…. Transmission has been found to "pop" out of gear, only when you get "off" the power in 5th gear. Since I know its not a gear issue, I'm almost sure this may have been a oversight on a detent ball during re-assembly. This is easily inspected and fixed, and I hope to have this fixed by the time this sells. If this car sells, and this issue has not been fixed, I will include a good 4spd at no extra cost. Exhaust system consists of MSA Header, with MSA performance exhaust system. Brakes: All calipers rebuiltnew padsNew slaves Rotors and drums Turned *(Rotors and drums were not replaced.)Braided Steel brake lines.New master cyl. Suspension: New Poly bushings t/o all suspensionNew Mcpherson Struts. Interior: New interior carpetNew seat kit New Rubber seals t/o. Exterior Mods:Clear Marker lights240Z FG bumper conversionVented HoodTow hook- RearCold Air IntakeElectrical: All gauges, but the "clock" work. All Lights, blinkers, and horn work. The only other thing that could use attention is the door fitment when closed. They were completely removed from the car, and getting them realigned has not been a priority. This can be done by yourself, or by Nissan for $100-150.. Shouldn't be an issue. Everything stated above, has been done with the intentions of giving a honest, and full disclosure to the perspective buyer.. If there is anything else you would like to know, please don't hesitate to ask me, and I will post the info and your question here for everyone to see. The price we are asking ( BUY NOW ), and the RESERVE price, is extremely reasonable for the amount of work, and parts that have been put into this car. Please don't be contacting me with offers. If you want to buy the car, please do so by bidding…. Thank you. Brian - Z Car Customs- JDM On May-13-14 at 21:50:10 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI: Clear Title in hand..
