Vehicle Detail

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT (Short bed, Reg Cab)4x4 (works)Auto TransmissionNo ACVanguard Ladder Rack Bedliner~84000 miles Note: When I transferred the title from my business (Business dissolved) to personal I took an educated guess at mileage and entered 88000 on the DMV document (it was actually 82k at the time). DMV entered 880,000 miles on the title. This truck was not worth the hassle of correcting this error. So I will be checking off the "odometer discrepency" box on the title, even though I can assure you the mileage reading on the odometer is correct. If you have a problem with this or don't believe me that is fine, this probably isn't the truck for you. 5.2L engineCooper Snow tiresNew Brake lines all aroundNew Crank Position sensorNew Fuel tank neckNew Cat-Back exhaustNew Speed SensorNewer rear bumper, painted to match truck (try to find a dodge without a rusted bumper)Factory bedliner still in bed, never removedInterior is actually in great shape (note interior pics are a few months old, no plow joystick currently)This truck used to be my landscaping truck (Yes I had a plow on it, all plow components are removed), I haven't done any landscaping for the past 5 years. The truck sits a lot except for dump runs every couple of weeks. I still use it for home depot runs, picking up pellets and dump runs. I am looking to upgrade to a newer truck. The Bad (trying to be as honest as possible): Truck needs some workNeeds front brakes and rotors: brakes are grinding (no brake pads left) the truck does stopRusty underneathrust on rocker panels; rot on the drivers side (see pic)Body has been painted flat black due to original paint peeling (factory defect); not professional paint job (see pics)Check engine light was on (currently off, very intermittant)needs e-brake cableProbably needs tune-up, sometimes hesitates. Could be because I only drive it every couple of weeks This truck still runs and drives (I just went to home depot for mulch this weekend). I am just being as honest as possible. Bidders are welcome to come by and take a look at it before bidding, I actually encourage it. The ladder rack, tires, and non-rusted rear bumper can be parted out for $500-$700 pretty easily, and the truck scrapped for probably another $600. But like I said it still runs and I'm sure someone can get some use out of it (and I don't have the time to part out and scrap!) LOCAL PICKUP ONLY: I am in New Fairfield CT (06812) CASH ONLYNote: I have this truck for sale locallyOn May-08-14 at 17:55:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: 5/8/14: All Bidders: If you are interested in taking a look and test driving the truck, you are welcome, I encourage it. This truck is being sold AS IS, so once the auction is over you have purchased the truck. That is a commitment to buy the truck not a commitment to "check it out". I do not want to re-list. Contact me if you have 0 feedback or your bid will be deleted. As I have mentioned (as an answer to bidders question) I have not driven this truck any significant distance in 3-4 years, only locally. The front brakes are scraping the rotors (even when not applying brakes), and the truck has "hesitated" on me like it was going to stall. So if you are coming from far away and planning on driving home, do so at your own risk. I have not taken this truck on any trip longer than 20-30 miles in a long time, and wouldn't take a chance. Also I forgot to mention: The gas tank straps have been replaced (they appear rusty in one of the pics, but have since been replaced). The truck also has Timbrens installed up front (I also have the stock bump stops which are included)I was asked about the ladder rack: the rack has a "swingable rear crossmember". In the pics i have it open so I don't hit my head when climbing into bed. It can be swung back and has a lock. The 4x4 system does work, I used it this winter
