Vehicle Detail
1961 Willys Jeep Model: CJ5This vehicle has just over 1200 miles on it since the frame-off restoration was completed 5 years ago.The engine, transmission, transfer case and both axles have been rebuilt.Frame was sandblasted and painted with POR15.New brake system to include all brake shoes, rebuilt hydraulics, and brake linesThe body tub was a rust free early 1970's unit that was obtained from Sacramento, California. It has been sandblasted and painted. There was NO rust on the tub prior to the restoring of it.The seating area of the jeep has been painted to match the exterior using a Rhino-Liner durable truck bed liner product. The underside of this jeep looks just as clean and detailed as the top.I have a lot of additional photos I can provide upon request. When the vehicle sits in my garage the entire summer, I get one or two spots the size of a quarter where oil had dripped from. Very minor. Just have not had time to remove the transfer case and repair the leak. This vehicle has had the heater core, heater box and fan removed and discarded. A plate was manufactured and painted to cover the opening in the firewall. It also does not have windshield wipers. I have a pair of aftermarket electric wiper motors, with wipers in the boxes. They would be easy to install and I will include them if sold.
