Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION! COLLECT YOUR OWN VEGGY or WASTE OIL and DRIVE FOR FREE!! I am selling my 1983 Mercedes Benz 300 Turbo Diesel. I bought car in 2006, with 138,000 to try out a veggy- oil system on before putting 1 on my truck. I completed a lot of research and have several friends that run these types of tube in tube systems. The system has worked very well and I have put 50,000 miles on it in the last 8 yrs. The only reason I am selling is that I no longer have a need for this wagon, so I am selling it to the highest bidder. You start the vehicle on regular diesel from the tank and then once the vehicle is warmed up, you switch over the veggie or waste oil. Its that easy and the system is completely removable! Vehicle can get 26-28 MPG and with the regular tank and the 2 5 gallon veggie oil tanks you can go for nearly 600 miles without having to stop for fuel! Exterior: There is rust on the body in some areas, please see the photos. The Drivers door has a dent, there is some clear coat peel issue. Interior:Never been smoked in!Rip in the drivers side upper seatSorry, the rear head rests are missing (we never had them)Has an older aftermarket radio installed. Pretty clean for its age, but by no means perfectThe veggie system is in the trunk and is completely removable All the windows, wipers, washers, radio, heat, etc work However the A/C is not working, we installed a new compressor a few years ago, got it charged, it worked for a while but then stopped. I have not looked into it. Power door locks, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. The flasher for the turn signals doesn't flash (you have to manually move the lever) just noticed this and have not looked for the flasher, but wanted to let you know. The line from the load levelers (rear shocks) to the air compressor needs to be replacedNone of these items keep the vehicle from being driven, but they would all obviously help in the ride and comfort. Please understand that this is a USED vehicle that is offered with NO warranty expressed or implied. It is 31 years old and I have tried to describe as accurately as possible. I encourage you to call me to ask questions at 740-474-4614 or better yet come and take a look at the car. This vehicle qualifies for the FREE ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE program. I did have to use it a couple of times as I did run out of fuel (forgot I took the veggie system out, switched over and then ran out of fuel)
