Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1971 Suzuki T500. The bike is runs great, rides and stops like it should. I've done some mild customization to the bike. I've also replaced a number of parts since I have owned the bike. It has new: -brake pads front and rear -battery -tires/tubes. -air Filter -rubber carb intake boots -rubber boot from airbox to carbs -floats and jets. Carbs were cleaned completely and rebuilt this year. - fiberglass seat -clubman bars. -tank sealed with red kote -The bike is 43 years old but has very little rust. The petcock works but still lets some gas through when shut off. I fitted inline shut off valves to prevent fuel leakage. It holds oil very well. There is an occasional drip when sitting but nothing unusual. When I purchased the bike the oil drain hole had been stripped so I fitted an oversized plug with piggyback drain and it is good to go. It needs a left sided headlight bolt and the pin that holds the front of the gas cap. I have it zip tied and it works fine for now. The paint at the base of the tank where the fuel tank meets the seat is worn. There is a minute seepage of gas through the tank at this section that peeled the paint. I sealed the tank with redkote to combat this but it still seems to get a tiny bit of moisture here. The leak is so slow It doesn't really bother me but I want to be transparent about the bike. The inside of the tank was very clean when I sealed it. . These items in no way affect the rideability of the motorcycle. The bike fires right up I have included 2 running videos of the bike for your pleasure. I put 600 miles on it last season without any mechanical isues arising. It's a blast to ride, looks the part and smells like a 70s 2 stroke. Doesn't get much better than that. Feel free to ask me any question/ request pics. Happy bidding.
