Vehicle Detail

This Expedition has a solid body and has never been wrecked. Other that the paint lifting/bubbling around the hatch handle, like most do of this model, the body is nice. THE MOTOR WILL NEED A LEFT SIDE CYLINDER HEAD OR AT LEAST A SPARK PLUG HOLE WELDED UP. I thought it was the intake gaskets so I changed them but it still puffs slightly white out of the exhaust. I'm pretty sure it's because it's getting antifreeze into the combustion chamber around the one plug thread. A helicoil stripped out so I installed a threat-sert and I think the thread diameter was too big and it broke into the cooling area around the plug threads. It also misses on 2 cylinders because it keeps getting antifreeze in the spark plug holes also on the left side, because of the bad hole I've mentioned. I only drove it about 10 miles in this condition because I noticed it right away. I'm sure the rest of the motor is fine and there is no water in the oil. I've owned this vehicle since about 80K miles (about 3 years). I installed new coils at about 110,000 miles, a new battery not quite two years ago, new rear wiper motor about a year ago, new brakes, with rotors, at about 120,000 miles, new front driveshaft U-joints a year ago, just charged A/C, and a new heater core (NO FUN!). I always use genuine Ford parts and not generic junk. It may need an ignition coil or two due to the wetness in the 2 left side holes. 4x4 works perfect, has a lifter tap but that's not a big deal with these motors. Had one with 280K that made noise for over 150K. Before it started leaking around the intake gaskets it ran 100%. Brakes are about 2/3, tires are about 1/3 good. Not great but OK. It has normal wear and tear, mostly on the driver's seat (shown in the picture). My 3 year old daughter and niece wrote on the back seat with a Sharpie and I got it out as far as it's going to go, but it's still there (shown in picture). I cleared the codes but they will come back. They all have to do with the misfire due to the antifreeze leaking into the plug hole. I normally would fix this myself but I just don't have time right now. I have three Expeditions and just don't really need this one anymore. Vehicle has PA inspection until 7/14. I'm trying to list any issues so there are surprises. Great vehicle for a do-it-yourselfer or anyone that has a buddy that fixes cars. I'd like a deposit of $100 via Paypal and the rest, cash, in person. Vehicle is driveable but misses. I will deliver within a 50 mile radius of 17042 if the buyer wishes. This vehicle is being relisted due to a non-payer from about two months ago. Just as well because it wasn't the intake gaskets after all. Thanks.
