~NO RESERVE~ This is a great Mustang "C" code .......Its a prior restoration. In 1988 the interior was restored, engine and transmission rebuilt (Tulsa, Oklahoma) and body work was complete. Car was painted red during restoration, but its original color is beautiful Caspian Blue. Convertible top was also replaced in 1988. Once this car was restored it was occasionally driven, until 1994. In 1994 it was put into storage with 125,000 miles on it (Motor and Transmission are believed to have 28,000 on them since rebuilt). Car is 98% original with the exception of the exterior color and the radio........someone replaced the radio and speakers with a more modern system. This is not a perfect car. Paint is cracking and beginning to flake. There are a few spots around the lower door and rear fenders, where the paint is beginning to bubble due to mild rusting. Body looks good, paint shines, paint cracking and flaking with paint chips and there is no known visible rust.......just bubbling in the paint in a few small spots as explained. I have taken a lot of pics to try to show any imperfections. Doors will need adjusting...passenger door shuts a little snug. Interior is very good for its age. White leather seats are in above average condition with no holes. All gages work as they should. Dash and glove box look great. Carpeting looks new....Its obvious the interior has been restored (1988). All windows are good and work as they should, convertible top looks good with no holes and no leaking......door panels look good.....SEE Pictures!! Floor boards and fenders are in good condition (small areas of paint bubbling on rear fenders). Trunk is also very clean and complete replaced in 1988........no rust in these areas......SEE Pictures!! All chrome is in good condition, all lights work as they should, all trim and emblems are in place. Tires are new with just 300 miles on them......wheel covers are Mustang originals......also original Mustang ignition and trunk keys!! Engine compartment is clean........V-8 289 2-barrell rebuilt in 1988 with 28,000 miles. Carb may need to be cleaned or rebuild.....car runs and sounds good but spits or coughs a bit when you accellorate from a stop.....very minor!!!!! Car sounds good but does have a hole in the muffler.......at some point muffler should be replaced, but sounds gooood!!! The transmission is the Automatic on the floor. Transmission is fine, shifts good...No known problems. I believe this car can be driven anywhere....Its currently driven 20 miles a day, to and from work. As said before, "This car is not perfect", but these Convertibles are getting hard to find and continue to raise in value. EASY RESTORATION..I am only going to list this car once......I will keep it and have it completely restored if it does not sell for some reason......I love this car.
