The vehicle was advertised at the auction as having transmission problems. We got it back to the shop and the battery was completely dead. We jumped the battery and got it to start up, with several warning lights lit up on the dash. The car did drive, but would not go in reverse (reverse light was flashing).We hooked up our diagnostic scanner and there were many codes showing up, which is typical on a BMW when the battery is low. We reset many of the codes and then the car drove fine both forward and reverse. We have no way of knowing if this is the only issue, only that it now rides forward and reverse. We do not have a BMW specific scanner, and there are airbag lights that still remain. These will have to be reset by a BMW dealer.The rest of the vehicle shows the typical wear and tear for this year and mileage. The body is in good overall shape - the right fender does show sign of previous repair work.
