Vehicle Detail

I purchased the bike (listed at Hayabusa.org) in autumn 2011 in Los Angeles, flew out, packed and shipped the extras, and then rode home. The mileage is noted in the pictures as 31xx,but original owner indicated speedo was changed out at 2,000. I didn't want to indicate anything other than that, so I noted "not exact mileage" when I titled the bike here in Illinois. Original owner was 40 at time of purchase. I am 43, so rest assured, it has been adult owned. I'm ashamed to say that I've haven't put more than 200 miles on the bike since making the voyage, and have never had the fairings off - so I'm going to cheat and use the original listing. I cannot verify what was listed as internals to the bike, but do have records from the original owner.I've tried to note the only visible flaws as follows: surface scuff (clear coat only) present from tail bag, scuff from son's toy John Deere tractor on side fairing (not visible), aftermarket bars change lock to lock and at some point must have pinged tank from electric shifter (noted in red circle on tank picture) on picture. None are noticeable to casual observer and again, overall condition of motorcycle would be considered "excellent" on the vehicle and price the motorcycle aggressively and without reserve to make a quick sale. I love the bike, had an experience of a lifetime riding it back from LA, but with two small children (4 years and 9 months), riding time is minimal at best, as I only took it to my office twice for a total of 12 miles this year. Rick. (Again, email is probably the best way to get a hold of me as I travel frequently for work - I do ask for cash, and if you plan to ship, know that most shipping companies will not accept the extras and need to go UPS - that's why I had to go to LA to get it) And now, the original ad....__________________________________________________________________ New Ad: Heavy Modded Super Touring Busa (Bikes)I've bought my 'Busa in early at the dealership '08. I'm at a point where I'm pretty happy with everything, and now all I want to do is ride it. The problem is that I suffered a severe, permanent, spine injury while in the service of the U.S. Federal Government overseas in 2006 in the Middle East (no, I'm no military hero). I had Dave Lannigan owner of SpeedDealer Motors in Seattle do the build and the tune- he is heavy in the race scene, and is well-known in that area. Here is (more or less) a complete list of my mods and accessories that are currently on my ride- it is just "missing" a turbo / NOS / supercharger / bigger engine, etc -(if that's your sort of thing) and is built to hold up to anything you can throw at it. For me, what I wanted was a super- touring Hayabusa that can do just about anything, take my breath away with sheer torque, etc. Being 6'1" and nearly 200 Lbs, I don't fit very well on most sport bikes, and I did not like most tourers, and after a trial run on a Busa at the dealership... I was hooked, so here is what she is: Two Brothers full 4 into 1 exhaust (OEM Exhaust included) Scorpio SR-i900 wireless fob 2-way alarm Corbin saddles (front and rear with backrest) HiD lights Muzzy fans Powerlets SpeedoHealer custom TRE PCIII USB and Autotune unit Givi luggage custom 800 watt stator airbox mod WWB ceramic bearings (not installed yet - still in package) Tiger chain guard Convertibars mirror extensions Garmin Zumo speach GPS with bluetooth and MP3 (speakers in helmet, can be used to speak to anyone else hooked up to the head unit, inc. FRS on other rider's systems - cell bluetooth to keep in touch via phone, can listen to MP3 to music in helmet, etc. Adaptiv radar detector Laminar Lip windscreen Adjustable billet kickstand Vortex sprocket 41 tooth APE shift shaft Pingel electric quickshifter Factory Pro billet velocity stacks custom cams custom gas tank paint oil baffle race cut gears oil pump high volume oil gear frame sliders braided brake lines Autocomm communications Pazzo levers Tiger Racing cannards Throttlemeister Again, this bike was featured here in a few posts here about heavily modified Busas, touring Busas, sport-touring, etc. It is currently showing 500 miles on the odometer, but I must admit that the odometer broke at around 2,000 miles, and was replaced under factory warranty, so I could be underhanded, but no, it really has 2,500 miles. She has never been "down", and I had the Suzuki emblems shaved off the gas tank, and the tank was professionally repainted. The OEM color scheme for the wheels is not black (it is OEM black wheels for the orange model), but when I bought mine at the dealership, I asked them for the black wheels off of the orange '08, so they swapped them for me. The OEM Suzuki stickers I removed myself. Since this is the end of my riding career with my spine injury (two years of specialists, doctors, herbalists, admissions to the hospital, etc proved it to me, and it is so bad that I have to take over 8 different medications a day for it), I will be including in my really nice covers- one heavy-duty, and one trip cover, some riding gear, wet-weather gear, whatever OEM parts I have around, any uninstalled parts, etc.- don't get me wrong, this bike is as virtually new- just barely broken in having spent months on a Dyno, and it is a great sport-touring bike that turns a lot of heads, and will make someone very happy- I just can't be me as I can't ride a bike anymore. The bike is currently located in the Los Angeles area. Thanks! Loki___________________________On Apr-27-14 at 07:03:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Just a quick note to answer several questions. 1. Yes, the spares are all included, including corbin saddles and stock exhaust (not shown in pictures). I'll probably include some other items, including books, battery tender, basic aluminum ramp, etc.2. As I believe, there is not a module to control automatic pre-programmed shift points.3. The vehicle is in Crystal Lake Illinois. I may have confused this by including the original owner's information - just wanted to convey as much as I could about the bike.4. I've added a video, but cannot include with a link. Please search youtube for video of "2008 Hayabusa running" and include keyword "rkempf1" to see video. (My apologies for the poor quality, I should have had my wife help me and tried to take this with an ipad.5. I am currently outside the state for work but will be returning before the auction is complete. I will try to answer any and all questions as soon as I can. Thank you!On Apr-29-14 at 04:53:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note that this auction is NO RESERVE. The bike will sell at the highest bid. The shipment of extras (should you wish to ride the bike home) are the responsibility of the buyer, but I can help with boxes (and a UPS store is located 1.5 miles from my house). Thank you for looking at this auction!
