Please note that i have replaced some pictures with photos of the engine and the front and back of the car to show the bumpers. Please also see note below. If you are considering restoring your TR-8 here is a chance to save $25,000. Just sell yours and buy this one and not only will you have a beautiful finished car, but it will be original. I am selling this for my sister in law. My brother, who passed away several years ago bought this car from the original owner who kept it over 25 years in a garage. The car had about 13,000 miles on it at that time. My brother put new suspension (KYB shocks and Springs) including sway bars, mounts and bushings, and new wheels and tires (Mini Cooper wheels on hub adaptors). The car rides better than any TR ever did from the factory. He refreshed the interior with new expensive wool carpet and restuffed the seats with new foam inserts using the orginal seat covers. The interior is like new, but the carpet is better than factory. He then had a free flow exhaust and ceramic coated headers installed to help the engine breath. I think the ingition has been upgraded. The car lights right off at the turn of the key and runs better than new. the only flaw worth mentioning is there is one spot on the passenger door about the diameter of a softball toward the back of the door about midway from the top to the bottom that has been touched up and there is light eggshell cracking in the spot repair. My guess is that there was some "garage damage". Other than that the paint is original and flawless. The sheen is showroom new and the original convertible top is supple and functions like new. The tires have less than 1000 miles on them. The wheels are perfect with no flaws in the paint let alone the metal. There you have it.
