THE MUSTANG'S BUILT BETWEEN MARCH 1964 AND AUGUST 17, 1964, ARE KNOWN AS EARLY 1965 OR 1964 1/2 MUSTANGS. THERE WERE ONLY 28,833 STANDARD 1964 1/2 CONVERTIBLE'S BUILT. THAT NUMBER HAD TRIPPLED FOR THE 1965 CONVERTIBLE'S. THIS WIMBLEDON WHITE MUSTANG IS POWERED BY A 6 CYLINDER ENGINE WITH A AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION NOW. IT RUNS GOOD AND HAS A NICE MELLOW SOUND TO IT. WOULD MAKE A NICE WEEKEND CRUISER. GREAT BUY FOR SOMEONE LOOKING FOR A FIRST GENERATION CONVERTIBLE MUSTANG. The car is not cut up or modified, clean car because it has been in California all of its life. All original panels, floors and trunk , all look very nice. Convertible top functions nice and is in nice condition. The tag indicates that the interior was originally red, was changed to black at some point. Interior carpet needs replaced , seats have some wear, Everything seams to work as it should on this beautiful car. This a great fun car to drive, gets 20 plus miles to the gallon. It's my daily driver and never has stranded me.
