Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is this excellent example of a CB750 K6. All original including the paint (Candy Antares Red), and everything else, it even has the original Stanley headlight. The bike has not been on the road since 2004 and it has just had the carburators cleaned and adjusted, the ignition system timed and checked, the oil changed, new battery and a general service. During the service I noted that the right fork seal is leaking a little, the chain is adjusted but still loose on the sprockets ( I would replace it). The original paint is fantastic, however there are two smooth dings in the tank. See the pictures, I think they could be fixed, the rest of the cosmetics are great, the chrome is excellent, the tires are old but not dry rotted. The engine has no cam chain noise or smoke and settles down to a smooth 1100 rpm idle, it delivers great smooth power through all the gears. All of the lights work and the charging system puts out about 13-14 volts with engine at idle with the lights and turn signals on (the turn-signal buzzers still works). This is a really clean example with all of the wire hose clamps still in place and no stripped fasteners anywhere. No "craftsmen have worked on this machine and everything is as it should be when it left the factory. The only defect with the exhaust is one pipe (see picture) as a small hole where the header pipe meets the muffler). With some cleaning and polishing this bike would look new. It has the tool kit, fuse holder and owner manual under the great original seat with soft foam. I have owned over 20 of these bikes and this has to be one of the cleanest, lowest mileage ones I've seen in a long time. I'm selling it for a good friend of mine who is too old to ride it, I have known the bike for the last 10 years and he has owned it for the last 20, during this time it has been stored in a heat garage. See my previous auctions for some of the other bikes from his collection. Serious buyers can call me at 312-972-7614 (my cell), the bike is located in Seattle Washington. Very reasonable reserve. These machines are getting harder and harder to find in this condition and will only appreciate. The future of the collectable motorcycle and car market is shifting from 1930's-1960's (not that machines from these eras will not always be collectable, I just don't think they will continue to appreciate as fast and the cost to purchase can be extremely high. The 1970's-1980's are where the money will be, just look at how insane the early Porsche 911 market has become or a Kawasaki Z-1. We collect what we remember...Thanks...International bidders please contact me before bidding, I had some bad experiences shipping to certain countries...
