Vehicle Detail
1970 Porsche 914/6, 100% real car 6 cylinder car, original engine is long gone. Rolling chassis is available with the side shift 901 trans for less money ($15,000.00) or can include a complete 1970 2.2 911t engine with Zenith carbs for the auction listing as many have wanted to install a 3.0 or bigger engine of their choice. 2.2 Engine is torn down as it was stuck from sitting and is now in multiple storage boxes, short block still assembled. Car has a 901 side shift transmission from a later year model. Solid car, garaged for a long time so minimal rust issue if any (CA car). Longs are great, pans are great. Car has later year doors with side protection beams. Was "auto-crossed" by previous owner and had a roll cage in it at one time, cage has been removed as well as sheet metal where the hoop was welded in on top of the inner rocker panels. New sheet metal fab'd up, approx. a 10" x 6" panel with pinch-weld flange bent into it , will need final fit and weld. Car has long wheel studs front and rear. Right side seat has been changed over to a later year (moveable) vs. the stationary position for a 1970. I cannot stress how solid this car is, why buy a rusted out car that needs tons of bodywork/repair when you can start with a great foundation? Big money to be saved and spent on engine build. No Fuchs included. I have a set of steel 5.5"x15" steel wheels for the car with roller tires. Car is missing interior door trim panels and door pockets, sun visors, right side carpet, and that is about it. Serious inquiries only please. Car currently has a 911s engine in it but will be pulled out at the end of the auction. 911s engine is not included in this auction. HELL HOLE is excellent, no issues. Car comes with some items in boxes like heater vents, ducting, etc. that was removed when the car was raced. Original color is Ivory White (code 11). 914/6's do not come available all that often in this condition, most are either rust buckets or overly restored trailer queens that can't be driven or enjoyed. Vehicle is listed in other areas and maybe subject to prior sale. All sales are final, sold as-is with no warranty implied. Additional photos can be sent, just ask but I will not be to anxious to send out photos to photo"collectors", real buyers only please. I work a full time job but always look at my e-mail, if you have a question please ask. I will answer the best I can.On Apr-18-14 at 22:06:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello Bidders: I have a standing cash offer without the engine and trans. I am letting the auction run until Sunday evening as a courtesy to the bidders that have placed bids. If the reserve does not get met or the "buy- it- now" is not selected I will pull the auction off and cancel all bids. Thanks for the understanding and happy bidding. On Apr-20-14 at 08:12:43 PDT, seller added the following information: HAPPY EASTER... Today is the last day of the auction if bidding does not meet the current offer I have from another posting. The standing offer is for just the rolling chassis, no motor or trans. If you were going to bid, do it now as the posting will be removed by 10:00pm tonight. On Apr-20-14 at 14:38:15 PDT, seller added the following information: less than 7 hours to go....... auction ends at 10:00pm today if reserve/Buy it Now is not met ..... Motor and trans has been removed. On Apr-20-14 at 19:30:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello Bidders.... I just lowered the reserve amount. This new reserve price will include the core engine 2.2 liter (disassembled/boxed up except for the short block- short block is still assembled) and the transmission (901 side shift style). I will include the lower front valance that needs some very minor fiberglass repairs. Shipping costs still are the buyers responsibility. I will keep the auction up and running until it expires as it has now exceeded the standing offer I had from another listing. I will contact that buyer tomorrow and let him know that the E-bay auction is the ONLY place that I will sell the car. Hope that this clears up any confusion and I wish to thank all bidders to this point. If my reserve price is not met, I will contact the high bidder to see if their bid is still valid. Thanks you very much in advance..........
