HONDA COLLECTORS:::::::::::: HONDA XL 350 (1974 - 1978) Description & History: Honda manufactured the XL 350 motorcycle for only 4 years, between 1974 and 1978, and made it available in multiple colors 1974 Honda XL350 SpecificationsThe 1974 XL350 has a 348-cubic-centimeter, overhead-cam, four-valve single-cylinder engine linked to a five-speed transmission. The spark plug is an Iridium DR8EIX with a LD05F spark plug cap.DrivetrainThe bike has a sprocket-to-gear ratio of 3.00. The front sprocket has 15 teeth, while the rear has 45. It has a size-530 chain.SeriesMany of the 1974 XL350s are of the K0 variant, which came in one color: metallic silver with blue stripes. All XL350s had serial numbers beginning with "XL350-1000001."This bike will be sold in "as in" condition. It is in unrestored original condition. I did have the gas tank professionally cleaned and lined by a local shop. The bike has normal wear and tear, but is still quite presentable for a 40 year old motorcycle. Paint appears to be original and in fair condition. I had the motorcycle gone through by a local vintage motorcycle repair shop and was told that it is good running condition. He rebuilt the carbs and replaced the fork seals. The tires have great tread. I'm not sure what happened to the tachometer, but it will need to be rebuilt or at least refaced. This bike is very complete and would make a great restoration project or just ride it as it is, as an "unrestored" vintage bike. Restored bikes are great, but once you restore it, it will never be original again.
