Selling my 1976 TR6 – The car is complete and intact. I purchased the car in January 2011 and to date, have invested $9600, mostly in new parts from Victoria British and The Roadster Factory. In November 2010 the previous owner spent $4,201.34 on service that included a brake overhaul with a new master cylinder, rear engine seal, new clutch, tie rod ends and a steering rack (receipts included). The following is a list of new, significant parts that I have purchased since 2011: Main wiring harness, fuse box, complete dash pad set, windshield, windshield trim and gasket), windshield washer bottle and motor, trunk carpet and panel, complete exhaust including stock muffler and pipes, complete carpet set, seat foam kit, front shocks and rear shock conversion kit, complete interior panel kit, new Robbins top (still in box), Bosch battery, Lucas alternator (remanufactured), Lucas starter (remanufactured), water pump, fuel pump, radiator, radiator cowl, overflow tube and bottle, green hose set, heater valve, seat belts, door and trunk weatherstripping, visor kit, cassette stereo, speakers, coil, plugs & wires, distributor cap, belts, carburetor diaphragms, choke cable, heater cables and knobs, horns, thermostat, dash rheostat, gearbox and transmission covers, front end bushings (new in packages), headlights, all new bulbs, left window regulator (new in package) and a sizable amount of miscellaneous small parts and hardware (all included). The OEM steering wheel is in remarkably good shape with no “mushy“ play, it’s the best one I found after searching well over a year on E Bay (and getting burned twice), I paid $300 for the steering wheel. The anti-run on valve was replaced with a good, used part and the speedometer was professionally rebuilt ($200). The car runs well and I drive it on nice weekends, it does not burn oil. The car requires minor body work and paint. The paint is currently in fair condition and the body has the usual door dings and scratches. There is a dent in the panel under the rear bumper. There is a rust spot around the left headlight and there is a scratch on the right rear fender. The right end of the front bumper is slightly bent and there is a 1/4" round paint chip on the hood. I was going to get the bodywork completed and the car sprayed prior to listing on E Bay, however I'm ready to move on to a new project. It was originally equipped with the dealer-installed, air conditioner option. The AC system did not work and I removed the components when I started working on the car, all of the AC parts will be included with the sale. Also included are several boxes of new and used, assorted parts including a good used radiator. Three service manuals and DVD are included as well. The convertible top frame is presently not installed on the car; it is included along with a new Robbins convertible top that is new in the box. Tires are Coker redlines with plenty of tread remaining. The car is currently registered in Texas with a clear title and a recent inspection sticker. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction close and full payment in 3 business days. Pick up and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, I will assist in any way I can including the packing and loading of the extra new and used parts. The top is not installed on the car so it should be shipped in an enclosed trailer, I'll do my best to cover the interior in plastic prior to loading.
