This car now red, was originally white and was repainted prior to August 2003. I don’t have any documentation on work done to then car then, but was told by the owner of the garage where it ended up, that the car was in excellent restored condition. The car’s life started in California (still has CA Plates on it!) until it was purchased by someone in Northern Connecticut in August 2003. The car had (and still has) 25,309 original miles. The new owner went through the process of having it registered and was given a temporary certificate of registration. While driving on the temporary registration, the driver overheated the car and was towed to the service station for repairs. The mechanic took of the off the head and it was determined that the engine had ceased due to the overheating. The car was parked alongside the sidewall of the building, the original owner never returned, and the car stayed there until March 2014 when it was sold. Upon first inspection of the car, discovered that all the suspension and brakes/ brake cylinders had been replaced just prior to the car being sold to CT. The brakes had ceased up, but after a good cleaning were good to go. The engine was never reassembled but I have all the parts needed to put it back together again. The only part I believe is missing is the air box. Exhaust system still in reasonable condition. One side of the car has more rust the other side. The side parked next to the wall for 11 years still in pretty good shape. Rear driver-side fender seems to have the most rust but nothing that can’t be fixed. Overall rust condition on the remainder of the car is very superficial. The frame is solid just needs a good cleaning. Both front and back bumper are solid, a little rusty but could last longer after a good cleaning and treatment. Glass and roof are in good condition. Chrome door handles outside mirror, windshield moldings and headlight rings are also in very good condition. The interior has collected it’s share of moisture during prolonged parking over the last 11 years. Signs of mildew are rampant all through the interior. But the interior has remained fairly free of rust and dashboard, seats and the wooden steering wheel, however dirty, are not damaged. I’m showing photos of the car in it’s condition it was found as well as photos after it was given a very basic wash. Also showing photos of parts that will be part of the sale. Car is as of April 8, 2014, issued a title of Connecticut. Car comes with original manuals.
