Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT - loaded Street Survivor for sale I bought this car in the fall of 2012, and have enjoyed it tremendously (I had a Red/tan 2M4 in college but always wanted a GT). Draws a crowd, and my children love it. Fantastic way to drive to work at low cost - and a lot of fun! It has 49,900 miles (I bought it with just over 40K). Completely loaded: · 2.8L V6 Engine · 4 Speed Manual Transmission (seriously who wants an auto?) · A/C (with brand new compressor) · Tilt, cruise (works perfectly), intermittent wipers · Power door windows and locks, mirrors, headlamp doors - all work properly · Firebird CD stereo has replace the old cassette deck that has EQ and iPod input!!!! VERY RARE!!!! Same Pontiac orange backlighting - seamless OEM look. · New Pioneer 4x10 speakers, plus stock in headrest. Killer sound. · Rare cassette storage option · New sunroof and door window gaskets · Replaced heater core, washer motor, brakes (new slotted and drilled rotors, new low dust pads, rebuilt master cylinder, one worn caliper rebuilt) · OEM wheels and tires for the purists (more than 60% tread) · The best steering wheel, the padded GT 3 spoke I bought it for $5000, and have put about $1500 of parts into it. So my BIN is a very reasonable $5450 and the reserve is set at $5000. Will not accept lowball offers. I will just continue to enjoy the ride :) if I can't get a reasonable price. The very good · Non smoker interior is mint · Great stereo set up with stock look · Super low miles · A lot of needed repairs · Everything works - even the headlamp motors which is a common issue · A fill up is 8 gallons (holds 10) and will take you 225 miles, which is 28 MPG. · I get over 25 even combined in town, with sports car performance. · In VA, I have often filled up for a weeks worth of driving for just over $20. Not many $6000 cars YOU WANT TO DRIVE can do that. The not so good · The plastic panels have excellent paint, but the steel engine lid and trunk deck paint is beginning to look tired, with some oxidizing and orange peel. Lower aero panels have some rubbed areas (damaged before me but is not noticeable except up close) that could be redone as well. · The hydraulic clutch is getting a little tired. If you hold the clutch in a long time (like at a long stop light) you notice it begin to engage. Not a problem in normal driving but a rebuilt clutch master and slave (about $80 each plus time) would do the trick. I just don't leave the clutch down for more than about 15 seconds and no problems.... · The headliner is looking tired and should be redone. · Two areas of interior dash paint could use a touch up (base brown beginning to show over the light brown paint. This is a two tone piece that is intended to have the base brown in some areas that are accented by areas painted by light - easy touch up with correct paint). Great value at a great price. Selling to buy a tractor (I know I know should probably keep her but Mrs says she's gotta go!)
