1958 Black and Red two tone Edsel Ranger 2 Door Hardtop -rare standard transmission - 400 engine with lots of chrome - car was in a barn for 20 years but still has plenty of rust in the expected places. Body is straight except driver rear quarterpanel which was damaged when a tire blew and hit it. Rear air conditioner in trunk. The keys may still be in Kansas, so I will try to get them, but could not find them after it was shipped to me. UPDATE AS OF 3-18-2014 MY MECHANIC HAS THE ENGINE RUNNING! It needs a brake job, a fuel pump , as well as A cleanout of the gas tank and possibly a radiator. I just found out today that he has it up and running and he said it sounds good. (3/18/2014 at 2:00 pm. .. My mechanic is putting a water pump on it. Also, the mechanic is an Edsel fan and he says this is the first 2 door he has ever seen, and the overdrive standard transmission was special order. The 400 engine is Edsel and the 400 stood for the torque that the engine has. It has the VERY RARE 3 speed STANDARD (only 3 percent of the Edsels came with this) ... and very few came with Overdrive. making this a very rare car....
