this 1979 280E was purchased buy a good friend whom puchased it new for his wife and he worked and retired from Mercedes. Maynard only lives a couple miles from me in Dayton Nevada. The car was purchased by another friend of mine for his nurse wife. she drove it daily for a yr. or until the vacume switch cracked and of course affected the way it ran. The switch runs about $500. Well I bought it becase of its natural survival condition and of course only 158 k miles. Moon roof fuel injected inline 6. Complete. the doors on this car thunk as a mercedes should. its very very straight! My wife and I are selling all that we own to sail the caribian for a while. And thats the story. someones going to get a fine auto here!
