1965 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL w113 About The Car This is a great running and driving 230SL. This car was originally code 462h Tunis Beige Metallic with green interior. European Model. It was re-done about 9 years ago by the previous owner to a very good drivers grade restoration with the code 568 Mercedes signal red enamel and white MB Tex upholstery. There is a brand new correct black soft top which is included but not installed. It does currently have an intact white soft top, but is starting to show wear. Some paperwork from previous owner, but not extensive documentation. 14" light alloy factory wheels from later model SL with p195/70r14 Michelin tires. Original spare tire. Interior Upholstery is clean and free of rips or tears. Excellent seats and door panels. Very good headliner on hard-top. Dash pad is free of cracks. Wood has been re-done in the past and in fair condition with no veneer lifting. Steering wheel had been restored at some point and is in good condition showing some wear. Replacement black carpet is showing slight wear and fading, but still very presentable. Newer Sony CD/MP3 player and aftermarket speakers in rear panel. Engine and Drivetrain Mechanically good condition. Engine, 4 speed gearbox, clutch and brakes appear to be in fine order. No apparent oil leaks from the engine. Starts, runs and drives properly. OEM Muffler has a hole and should be replaced. The rest of the exhaust appears solid. Recent service including oil and filter change and new valve cover gasket. Body Body and frame appear straight and solid. Trunk floor appears solid. Original hood with matching numbers. Drivers floor pan and both rocker panels appear to have been replaced during restoration. Since we have not dis-assembled the car, we cannot certify that this is a completely rust free specimen. With that being said however, our initial inspection does not lead us to believe that there are any serious rust issues. Some blemishes in the paint from being driven, but nice overall condition. All glass, including desire-able Bosch headlamp lenses are in good order with no cracks. -Overall a very good and solid #3 condition driver. -Clear Colorado Title. -Great car to enjoy as the value of these w113's increase.
