1965 Mercedes Benz Unimog 404.115 Hard Cab Flat Bed. The Unimog is an awesome 4 wheel drive that can go anywhere without getting stuck. With the portal axles it has 17" of clearance for taking it off road and I have taken it into deep water and mud and never gotten stuck. Since I purchased this about 3 years ago I have gone through the truck and repaired or replaced everything needed to make this a reliable great driving truck. The fixes include replacing all brake wheel cylinders and flushing the brake fluid, checked and adjusted the brake shoes, replaced one of the brake steel lines so the brakes are working as they should including the parking brake. I rebuilt the carburetor and intake manifold gaskets, replaced the spark plugs and adjusted ignition timing, replaced the thermostat and heater hoses, removed and rodded out the heater core and replaced both heater valves, replaced the fuel lines from tank to pump, rebuilt the left front axle hub with new bushings and seals, flushed the front and rear axles with new gear oil, installed 1 new wiper motor, installed new tail lamps and wiring, Installed 1 new battery, new inside dome lamp, new outside mirrors, and had all 4 wheels balanced. The truck previously had a Pertronics electronic ignition installed to do away with the points. The truck starts right up every try and everything works as it should including all lights and turn signals, all gauges and even the factory map light except for the right side high beam and there is no horn. It does have the normal for this model rust below the windshield on passenger side and under headlight on drivers side which I have pointed out in the pictures, and the drivers vent glass is missing.
