Vehicle Detail
*** No Reserve !!!! Highest Bid Wins!!! *** *** ENDS SATURDAY MORNING - PUT YOUR BID IN EARLY *** You're looking at my 1976 Dodge Van Tradesman 100. It has the orignal 318 V8, 727 automatic transmission, power steering, disc brakes, brand new tires, 15-inch wheels that have been sand blasted and painted gloss white. The motor is all original, no aftermarket headers, no aftermarket intake, no chrome air cleaner, ALL original. I changed the oil and installed a new oil filter, new fuel filter and rubber fuel line. New muffler, new battery, new spark plugs, cap and rotor. The radiator has been flushed and filled with fresh antifreeze. New master cylinder with new front brake calipers. Everything works, including the speedometer, blinkers, lights, heater blower motor, wipers, inside dome lights. Even the cigarette lighter works. It runs and drives really well. It has great oil pressure. No leaks on the driveway. I believe the mileage ( 129,000 ) is correct but I have no way of proving it. I will have to put a catalitic converter on it and get you a smog certificate if it stays in California. It still has the original paint with hand-painted business name and disco stripe from the '70s. It would be very hard to find one with this kind of Americana. You will definitly be the only one at the van meet with one like this. There's no area code with the business number so it was put on before San Diego County even got its own area code (1970's). It came with the original blue California plates (1D21976) but I had to change them when I registered the van. Kind of coincidental that the blue plates have the year 1976 on them. I still have them and they come with the van. The original stickers are on the driver side door jamb and on the front windshield. The paint has been buffed out. It's shiny but it has its flaws (perfect patina). It has a really nice grille, no breaks. The bumpers are shiny and the glass is all intact, no cracks. The door glass rolls up and down real nice. The only rust on the van is at the bottoms of the side doors and lower rockers (hard to see). Someone tried to repair the rust on the side doors at one time and didn't do a very good job. What I believe caused the rust is someone put foam and rags and stuff down in the interior side door pockets for years. No rain gutter rust. No rust on the under side of the van. It's very clean underneath. No rust or bubbles in the A pillars where they usually rust. It has a new vent on top of the roof and new wiper blades. The roof is straight, no dents. It has a dent in the front fender (shown). It's not beat up on the inside. It has the nice original padded (no rips ) dash and original gauges. In the pictures the seats look like they are tan or brown but they are a grayish blue. No rips in the seats and it has new carpet. The seats may not be original, but I'm not sure. I have a driver side arm rest pad but it needs to be dyed blue. The original radio and ash tray are missing. I also have a radio bezel, it's black, in better shape than the original one, which is included. The original spare tire and bumper jack are there, but the stud to hold it in place is missing. I bead blasted and painted the jack setup, looks good. **** CHECK OUT MY #'S MATCHING 340 1970 DODGE CHALLENGER PROJECT UP FOR AUCTION **** If you have less than 10 feedback on ebay, your bid will be cancelled.
