According to the Checker Club of America Registry, this is one of two known surviving Checker A9's to left on the planet. A “Standard” model this Checker is the only known survivor equipped with a three standard shift mounted column on the floor. This rare bird also sports the driver rear door opening handle. Yes, it does have jump seats! For the last ten years this car has been kept in dry storage. Overall this car is in restorable condition. Equipped with a Continental flathead six, the car that does not run. The vehicle is being sold “As Is”. As with any Checker there is some rust, but it can be repaired, the inner body is solid, most rust on the car is surface rust, not rust thru. Originally from Beatrice, Nebraska this Checker is in original condition appearing to have just come out of service. This is a very unique piece of American History. The cab is equipped with jump seats! I have too many project so this car will have to go. If desired this car could be parted out, the rare starburst grille alone is worth $500.00.
