1988 BMW M6 For parts or restoration. The car was parked in the dry Southern California climate since 1997. No rust. The original engine to the car turns, but I haven't tried to get it running. The original paint is dead on the roof panel and showing wear elsewhere. The interior is original and not bad for the most part. The 6-cylinder engine in standard trim offers 256 bhp and 243 lbf·ft of torque. Car and Driver Magazine tested the M6 in July 1987 and achieved a 0–60 mph time of 6.1 seconds. Also in 1987 Road and Track featured the U.S. M6 as one of the 10 fastest cars in America. Production of the M6 ended in 1989, with only 5,859 cars sold, 1,767 of which were North American (U.S. & Canada) models. Bring a trailer and own a low mileage example of one of the rarest and most desirable 1980s executive sportscars.
