It is a 1961 VW bus that was turned into a pickup truck. Whoever did it, did the job well. There is no flex in the body.I put a "dog seat" behind the front seats. The dog is shown in the pictures, but not included in the sale. I recovered the front walk through seats with seat cover vinyl. Actual mileage is unknown. This is a 53 year old vehicle. There is a roof vent from a Dodge Ramcharger. Interior panels are made from closed cell foam. There is space under the truck bed for storage. 15 gallon gas tank from a Bay window bus. Side window behind the driver is broken and covered with clear packing tape. Large nut transaxle from a "late" splitty. Rear torsion bars adjusted for more ground clearance. Larger tires on front. Two spares, one for front one for back. 1600cc dual port engine built from all new parts.It has a real oil filter. The carburetor sometimes has to be choked by hand from the engine compartment. All 4 jack points rust free. This bus was always in the dry Southwest. Bright back-up lights added (manual switch). Engine compartment lid is from another year. the lid has a broken hinge, replaced with a house door hinge. A screwdriver is needed to open and close the lid. I used it for a pickup truck. I do not remember its year. It has disc brakes and stops well.
