Vehicle Detail
No reserve, last high bid wins. Please have funds available/approved and wife/girlfriend/mother/priest/rabbi blessing prior to bidding. 2006 BMW M5 that has been my personal vehicle for the past three years. All M5s come loaded up with a long list of standard options and this has almost all additional options such as heated and cooled seats, suede headliner, heads up display, iPod connector, satelite radio and perforated seats. In addition, the 20in black mesh rims with brand new (500-900 miles only) Kumho ZR rated tires and full alignment. Full tinted glass keeps interior cool. This M5 has been professionally maintained its entire life, with all service records from BMW. This car had a new clutch installed at my request when I purchased the vehicle (76k), though it was not needed. Previous owner put a majority of the miles on the interstate traveling between his two office locations. Currently has 98k on it, but she is only a weekend driver now. In addition, new OEM pads have been installed, new oil cooler, and all services are current and have always been kept up to date. If you are looking for a car that always turns heads and will always have strangers compliment you on a daily basis, then this is the car for you. This car needs nothing but to be enjoyed. Only flaws are some small rock chips and some curb rash on the wheels. No dents or scratches and it has always been garaged. I have had a company car (in addition to a SUV) for the past year so this only now gets driven on nice sunny warm days. This is a three owner (including me) car and I purchased from dealer that sold new and serviced the vehicle. ANSWERS to Common Questions: Q: I think I have seen this listed before? Did it not sell?A: It has been listed three other times, all sold to the "high bidder". One never returned any of my messages, One is a member of "a special CIA team" an cannot answer emails for three weeks but was willing to purchase a month later for a $2000 price discount, and One "already purchased an M5 three hours ago". Seriously people, let's all pretend we are adults here.Q: Whats the least you will take for it?A: The Opening Bid.Q: Whats wrong with the car?A: Nothing. I know there are a ton of "run hard and put up wet" M5s out there, various stages of upkeep, etc. This is not one of them. Adult owned and professionally maintained, garage kept, and taken care of all its life. It just needs to be driven. Cars do not like to sit idle for long periods of time, and this is true here. I have been driving it a few times a week now and it is running like it should. Saying that, since this car has been driven and not a garage queen (except for the last 18 months or so), there is a small speck here and there from use. NO dents, parking lot scratches or dings, limited wear on boldsters, no tears, etc.Q: What does the car need?A: See above. Q: I cannot see the Autocheck. Can you turn it on?A: That is an eBay thing. It does have a clean and clear ZERO accident Carfax report.Q: If it is so nice why are you selling it?A: I have a "bucket list" for cars I want to own and enjoy. This was number #3 on my list, and has been there since I was 15 (I am 43 now, so do the math, a long time!). I am a Porsche 911 fan, and I am wanting to scratch one of these off my list. Also, I only keep a car for more than a year if I like it a lot. Call it ADD for cars. There are only 5 cars that I have owned longer than 2 years in my life, this is one of them. FYI, the other four: 1971 Porsche 911, BMW 3 series, Taurus SHO, and a Dinan 5. Q: Will you give me a deal for all cash?A: Basically all cash is the only deal that will work. Cash=title at delivery Q: Is it a clear title?A: Yes, meaning not salvage, etc. Its titled in my name, clean, clear, and free. Q: Can I drive it home?A: I did and I would. It will be a blast I am sure.Q: What is the maintenance costs for this? I hear it is high and problems.A: Today, I can search every car and find something wrong with them. That being said, this car was nearly $100k when new and is as fast as a Ferrari, Porsche, or Lambo of the same era. This is a 4dr high performance car, so parts will cost more. Do not buy it thinking that you can get the oil changed for $19.99 like your Honda. It will likely be $100+, and will take almost 9qts. If things break, yes it will cost a bit more, but so will ANY BMW, Porsche, or Benz. This has not broken much on me in three years, mostly just wear parts like brakes, oil changes, tires. Q: If it does not sell, are you willing to take offers?A: Sure I will listen, but cash talks, BS walks. And I have heard more than my fair share of the latter. This is the last time I am listing it on eBay, if it does not sell then I am going to drive it for the summer and enjoy it. I cannot find anything more fun for the dollar anyway (with 4 wheels and street legal).
