300 Turbo Diesel This model "80 - "86 was probably the finest car manufactured in the world today. It was ahead of it's time in quality and design. I've owned 6 or 8 of these cars. There is hardly any rust. It is a South Carolina car. Mechanically it is near perfect, both body and mechanical condition. I recently spent in excess of $1,800.00 on the mechanical condition. The speedometer quit at approximately 175,000 miles which was approximately 8 months ago. Car has been setting in storage since that time. There is need to get to get it replaced. No oil or transmission leaks. Car is in excellent body condition. The electric windows are in need of switches. I have the original radio and antenna. It is in need of heat and air adjustments. I have the parts for the water proofing. Almost every town has a good Volkswagen and Mercedes repairman. It is also in need of the cruise control. With the excellent mechanical and body condition, this is all that should be required to get the car in mint condition.
