My father purchased this car new June 1959 Rugby, North Dakota. It was undercoated at the dealer. It was then driven to Monterey, California. In 1968 I got the car from my father. I have the original California Title. I moved to Reno, Nevada where the car has been since 1969. Car is 95% original. I am a retired ASE Certified Ford Mechanic and have maintained and done all the mechanical work as needed. In 1978 I changed the engine from the original 430 ci to the 462 ci 1966 Lincoln re-bored and balanced short block but, used the original 430 heads because of the larger intake and exhaust valves. I also replaced the original transmission with a C6 because the original Merc-O-Matic was a different bolt pattern. This car has become quite rare of the 7,206 Four Door Hardtop Cruisers produced in 1959.
